Fees & Door Deal
Our artist-first ticketing model
We believe artists should be paid fairly, and we also need ARTHUR to remain sustainable so we can continue providing a home for original live music.
Sound technician: $200
This covers ARTHUR's house sound engineer, including soundcheck and live sound for the event. The fee is payable regardless of attendance.
You keep your ticket income
Our preferred model is simple: when bar sales cover the venue's operating costs for the night, ARTHUR takes no percentage of your ticket sales. After the sound technician fee and the $1 venue support levy, the remaining ticket income is yours.
Events with limited bar revenue
For events where bar sales are expected to be lower, particularly all-ages shows, an additional contribution from ticket revenue may be required to help cover the venue's operating costs.
ARTHUR needs approximately $2,000 in bar sales for an event to break even. This is roughly equivalent to 80 people purchasing two drinks each.
ARTHUR Venue Support Levy: $1 per paid ticket
ARTHUR retains $1 from each paid ticket sold. This small contribution helps us maintain the venue, support emerging artists and continue presenting original live music.
Growing audiences together
We ask that ticket buyers are given the opportunity to opt in to receiving news from ARTHUR. With their consent, we may contact them about future events, including upcoming performances by your band or project.
Ticket-holder information is used only for event administration and consented marketing, and is handled in accordance with ARTHUR's privacy policy.
The better the audience, the stronger the bar result, and the more ticket income you take home. Our goal is to create a model in which artists, audiences and the venue can all thrive.
We want to be upfront and fair about how this works. ARTHUR is a not-for-profit venue and every show needs to cover its costs so we can keep the doors open and keep supporting live music.
